self pay meals
Meals on Wheels can deliver daily nutritious meals to older adults within Rockland County that do not qualify for subsidized meals. The Medically Tailored Meals we deliver can be hot, chilled, or frozen with accommodations for therapeutic and mechanically altered meals. Our Registered Dietician designs a menu for our Self Pay clients to ensure they remain healthy through nutritious meals. Each meal is only $7.95 but delivers on nutrition and taste! Call us today at (845) 624-6325 to start getting meals delivered to you or a loved one.
Caring cards - This program provides youth the opportunity to make holiday cards that will be delivered along with meals.
Pet Pal Pantry - For many seniors their beloved pet keeps them vibrant and motivated to stay healthy. Easing the burden of the cost of pet food helps them immeasurably. In addition, financial assistance to struggling pet owners can prevent pet surrender to shelters and keep vulnerable pet families together.
Miles of Smiles - Good oral health affects the whole body. Bacteria built up on teeth and gums can cause multiple complications such as pneumonia, stroke, heart disease and more. Meals on Wheels keeps smiles bright by delivering a Miles of Smiles packet along with meals.
Pantry Boxes - This emergency food program evolved to insure that the Agency's homebound recipients have a sufficient supply of non-perishable food items in case of weather related emergency.
senior activity centers
Meals on Wheels currently operates three senior activity centers serving the entire County. Our senior activity centers offer a warm, welcoming "home away from home" to hundreds of Rockland residents. Participants develop important friendships and enjoy many activities together with a particular focus on health and wellness.
Our centers are currently located in Nanuet, Nyack and New City. Each center has transportation available and provides a nutritious lunch that is prepared by our commissary. Kosher, therapeutic, and mechanically altered meals are available.
Any Rockland resident aged 60 and up who is able to participate in the program may join our senior center free of charge. You may call the center manager to make an appointment to visit the center and fill out a registration packet to join. Basic information, general medical overview and list of medications (in case of a medical emergency) will be included in the registration. Registered members may come to the center as frequently as they like (with reservation) – there is no minimum commitment to join.

Senior Activity Centers are open Monday through Friday generally from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Centers are closed on holidays and days when weather is inclement.
