St. Thomas Aquinas Professor, Elaine Winship, teaches a class on content creation for PR Marketing and works every year with a non-profit. This fall it was Meals on Wheels Rockland. They created a “STACsGiving” event, a culmination of a semester-long service-learning project for MOWR. Since September, STAC students have been actively working with MOWR, focusing on public relations and social media strategies to build awareness of the organization to the college-age demographic. During STACsGiving, students prepared positive cards, photos, and decorative pumpkins as part of “bundles of gratitude” to be delivered to 800 homebound seniors and Senior Activity members.
