Community Development Block Grant

Meals on Wheels Programs & Services of Rockland is pleased to announce that the agency is a 2016-2017 recipient of a Community Development Block Grant of $25,000 for the Homebound Meal Delivery Program. Thank you to the County of Rockland's Office of Community Development, the administering agency.

Rockland County towns and villages continue to generously support Meals on Wheels. Thank you to the following for continued support:

  • Village of South Nyack $1,000
  • Village of Spring Valley $5,000
  • Town of Ramapo $10,000
  • Village of Haverstraw $4,000
  • Town of Haverstraw $1,500
  • Village of West Haverstraw $1,500

Senator Carlucci secures $50,000 in Funding for Agency Needs

The funding will be used to replace two condensing units for two walk-in refrigerators that are used to store fresh food items needed to produce over 190,000 meals annually to serve seniors and the homebound and for food for approximately 7,300 meals for the Homebound Meal Delivery Program.
